About the event

We are working to bring you the diverse and informative range of speakers for which our events have become known. 

Our event takes place in the same venue and on the day before the BSAVA Congress; we are proud to be a BSAVA Affiliate.

You will need to arrange your own accommodation if needed. The BSAVA have published a list of hotels in the area

Case Study / Research Report Competition

We are welcoming case report / research presentation entries describing interesting or unusual cases or research projects for our Spring 2024 meeting. The oral presentations should describe conditions affecting either cats or dogs.

Submission
To be eligible for competition you must submit a written abstract which is less than 250 words to [email protected]. Please submit using a Microsoft Word document or a pdf document. The closure date and time is 6th March 2024 at 23:59 GMT. Applications after this will not be considered. Successful candidates will be informed by 23:59 GMT on 11th March 2024.

Judging
The SamSoc committee will select the best abstracts to be delivered to meeting delegates. The primary author must attend the meeting to present and reply to any questions during the 2024 Spring meeting. 

Successful candidates will be invited to present a 12 minute oral presentation. Use of Microsoft PowerPoint using the SamSoc template is encouraged. Please include a title page to present the title and author(s), and a disclosure page to present any conflict of interest and details of funding. 

On the day of the Spring meeting, the winning entry / entries will be selected using a voting system by delegates. We look forward to receiving your entry.

The programme

We will start promptly at 9am, providing refreshments throughout the day and lunch.

We will also hear from the EBVMA (Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine Association)
